For every Cash Mob event, we invite a non-profit organization to come along for the ride. By sharing their stories, and helping to get the word out about what these great people do to make our community better and stronger, we hope that new connections are made to give them a little boost, as well as our target businesses.
On May 26th, we are pleased to announce that our non-profit partner for “Tour de Cash Mob” is The Bridge Progressive Arts Initiative (Bridge PAI). The Bridge is a small-scale non-profit arts organization located in historic downtown Charlottesville. They aim to be a catalyst for positive change in our community, providing space and resources to working artists while building community through the power of collaboration and direct engagement in the creative process. They depend on the generous support of the community (hey — that’s you and me!) for their programs. Please visit their website to find out how you can support their work through either a donation or volunteering.
We even found a ‘wish list’ for items they need — are there any cash mobbers out there who can help out with one of these items? Email the Bridge, and make arrangements to donate one of these items:
- SLR camera for workshops
- comfy chair for gallery sitting
- podium for literary events
- popcorn machine for the film series
- space heater for the office
